Meet the Experts
Darlene Catlett
Darlene began her copyediting career in 2002 while working on the very popular Lamplighter series. She has had the joy of helping several first-time authors polish their books for print, and squeezed in four years as the editor of a quarterly magazine and multiple newsletters while continuing to balance her highest priority of raising her four wonderful children.
With over 300 books under her belt, she continues to encourage – and correct – authors as they strive to get their inspiration on paper and then before the reader.
Over the course of assimilating these new responsibilities, she also managed to homeschool her four children successfully from kindergarten through high school, all the while enjoying the adventures to be found in editing.
Diane Lytle
Diane’s editorial journey began with school newspapers and yearbooks, blossoming into founding a homeschool newsletter and crafting professional materials as a missionary. Her natural eye for detail and commitment to excellence have shaped her path in the publishing world.
With over 100 university courses and many academic theses under her belt, she continues to help authors polish their work while preserving their unique voices. Her versatility spans from scholarly papers to Bible studies, web content to fiction, bringing clarity and professionalism to every project.
Through years of refining others’ words, she’s maintained her sense of humor about the writing process—though she’ll be the first to admit that her own work occasionally suffers from comma enthusiasm! Her dedication to clear, polished writing remains unwavering as she helps each new author shine.
